QCML has consistently done what they say they are going to do. It was easy to form a partnership with them. They quickly learned of our needs and now anticipate and advise on potential build challenges before they arise. The QCML team is very good at clearly communicating the details of our builds, including pre- and post-processing options, which helped us minimize build iterations. Despite many other options we have chosen QCML to provide high quality metal prototypes for our programs.
QCML has proved to be a fantastic partner in our development of a new diesel engine for the Navy’s UAV program. In the past IDRC had to develop complex casting molds as well as complex cores to produce prototype parts. This was both time consuming and costly. With QCML’s metal printing processes we can now have prototype parts 3D printed, HIP'd, and shipped to us in just a week or two depending on QCML’s workload. QCML has been a game changer in our work with the Department of Defense and IDRC has provided multiple reports to the DOD detailing the cutting edge technologies used at QCML. QCML is in continuous evolution using new cutting edge powders for 3D printing, as well as new processes which keep pushing the envelope of rapid prototyping. I highly recommend QCML, as they have kept our DOD work on the cutting edge.
I have worked directly with QCML since 2015 on a variety of efforts. They have consistently and repeatedly delivered parts we ordered on time and for a very competitive cost with material that is atypical for Laser Powder Bed Fusion. Dr. Faierson and his team have been innovative to produce high-quality parts and save all the process parameters and output for us to review at any time. We look forward to continued collaboration with QCML as we continue to process new powder materials for Laser Powder Bed Fusion.
